: DUNEDIN, This Day. . •Catherine M'Donald, aged 46 years, who escaped from the Hospital a week 3go, was found early this mohiing at the foot of. the embankment at Queen'sdrive. , She was still alive when found, Ifut died from exposure before a doctor came. . " . • ■■■. Later. The full name of the woman found dead this morning is Catherine Susan Macdonald. She was married, but living apart from her husband. The evidence at the inquest showed that she had influenza and had suffered from depression, though she -was rational. Deceased left the Dunediri Hospital in hsr night attire "early on the morning of the 4th instant, and no trace of her wai found till now. About four months ago she went into the bush, when her s child was taken from her, and she had suffered ill-health since. The medical evidence was that death was due to starvation, inanition, and exposure, accelerated, by .a fall, .The inquest was adjourned.
