(Received January 17, 12.15 jj.m.)

DELHI, 16th January.

The Prince of Wales attended a demonstration in Madras by 12,000 children, representing fifty schools. Large native crowds received him with , hearty cheers. The non-co-operation element, evidently subdued by Friday's lesson, made no attempt to hinder the spectators assembling or to demonstrate along the route. The Prince witnessed an interesting display of gymnastics, and attended a number of other- functions, including the races. He will leave tomorrow to visit Bangalore, and thence will go to Mysore.
