WELLINGTON TOURNEY.
With the exception of one or two games, play in the croquet tournament concluded at Kelburn Park yesterday. ' Mrs. Maddren won the first game in the I first life of the championship singles, Mrs. Gardner the second, and Mrs. Maddren the final.. The second life will be played to-day. In the handicap doubles the.final was played between Mrs. Maddren and M'Culk>ii,gh (1£) and Mesdames J. H. Kerr and Roberts (3£), the former being the winners. Prizes were presented to the winners and mnners-up by Lady Luke. A few games in. the post entry event have yet to be played. The results of yesterday's games are as follow:— Mrs. Fuller scratched to Mrs. Rigg. M'Cullo'ugh scratched to Mrs. R. Williams. Mrs. Maddren scratched to Mrs. L.-l Watkins. ' Mrs. Moran scratched to Mrs. Hurst Mrs. Ryder scratched to Mrs. Robertson. Mrs. C. Jones scratched to Mrs. Gardner. - Mrs. Gardner scratched to Mrs. Henderson. Mrs. James 5 beat Mrs. Wilson 6.
