' v '• ' MAINTENANCE CASES. Maintenance cases were dealt with v follows in the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon: — ■ Thomas Balmer, whose arrears amounted to £10 ss, was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as he pays 12s 6d per week. With arrears amounting to £25 10s, .Thomas Leslie Shackleford was given the option of paying £2 each week or serving a term of three months in- gaol.
Before Mr. W,. A. Worth, 3.P., at th« Mount Cook Police Court, two first-of-fending inebriates,, who did not appear,' were fined the amount of their bail.
