The Wellington Amateur ' Swimming Club held the third distance (150 yds handicap) of tho President's Cup series at To Aro Baths last evening. The race resulted : E. Evan6 (3sec) 1, R. Healey (scr) 2, F. Adamson (4sec) 3. Aleo started: Pocock (scr), Edwards (Msec), Look (12sec). Time lmin 53aec. After the race a, polo match took place between Wellington Amateur Swimming Club and Maranui Surf and Life Saving Club, the latter proving victors after a very oxcitin.j game by threa goals to two. Intending competitors in the New Zealand National Swimming Championships aro notified that an official will bo in attendance at the Wellington Centre' secretary's office, V.M.C.A., every evening, from 5 to 6 o'clock, to receive entries, which close on Tuesday, 24th instant, at. midnight. Entry fees are to be paid at iimn of nomination.
