BUTTER AND CHEESE DROPPED.

Messrs. A. H. TurnbuH and Co., Wellington have to-day received cabled advice from Messrs. Weddel and Company, Ltd., London, dated 3rd January, regarding the dairy produce market, giving last week's prices in parentheses, as follow: —"Danish butter, 154s to 158s (174s to 1765). New Zealand cheese,' white, 86s to 90s (90s to ,945); New Zealand cheese^ coloured, 86s to 92s (88a I to 945). Market improving. New' Zealand' butter, first grade, salted, 120s to 130s (140s- to 1455). Rather better demand at the lower price." Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limitad, also .report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 309 i December: "Butter,—Prices are irregular, but slightly better demand. Danish, lo4s to 158s; Australian finest amsalted, 114s to 118s, salted, 100s to 108s, secondary, 90s to 98s, inferior, 76s to 84s; New Zealand, finest 120s to 130s, secondary, 110s to llfie.
