AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
The fortnightly meeting of the Wellington Amateur Photographic Society ■ was held in the Y.W.C.A. building, Boulcott-street, the president (Mr. A. S. Mitchell) presiding. There was a good attendance, and several new members were present. Mr. J. K. MacK&y was the speaker for the evening, his subject being "Hints ojj Exposure." Mr. MacKay brought with him many kinds of exposure meters, calculators, and reckoners, and passed them round for members to inspect. He explained how waste of plates and film's could be avoided by usinp, an exposure meter, as the greatest fault of the amateur was to underexpose. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to Hie lecturer.
