Commenting, on a report that has reached London to the effect that Queensland is floating 12,000,000 dollars in 7 per cent, bonds, redeemable in 20 years, through the National City Company of New York, Mr. 'J. M. Hunter, AgentGeneral, informs the Australian Press Agency that he has received no intimation of such a happening, but he hag been informed that his Government is oarrying on negotiations elsewhere than in London, and might be able to arrange a loan without London aid.
