LABOUR LAWS

MIGHT WELL BE REPEALED.

(BI TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

AUCKLAND, This Day. At the annual : meeting of the Provincial Employers' Association, Mr. Spencer, the president, said the time had arrived when the whole of the laws dealing- with the settlement of labour disputes might well be repealed and one act substituted. He would suggest one court only should be set up to adjudicate on all labour disputes, to be open to all unions, whether registered under the Aot or not, and to all employers.l Any strike or lock out should be made absolutory illegal, and punishable by fine or imprisonment according to culpability.
