The latest reports indicate that the battle at.Sakaria resulted in a stalemate. Both armies fought to a standstill and are suffering from supply and transport difficulties. -,-■ It is considered possible that the Greeks will abandon, the advance on Angora and will withdraw westward, as there is now no hope of'enveloping any large portion of the/Kemalist forces. Kemal has sent Kurds, including members of the . Angova- Assembly, to the borders of Mesopotamia to stir up the -Nationalists.
