LIBERAL RESPONSE
PLUNKET HOME APPEAL.
The appeal on behalf of the Plunkek Society is with a very generous response. The object is to obtain.sufficient money to purchase, equip, and endow convenient, attractive, and comfortable headquarters for «-th<» Plunket Society in Wellington—a place where mothers can take their babies for,' consultation with tKe Plunket nurses, and where expectant mothers can receive sound, • sympathetic advice and help under conditions that ensure privacy and inspire confidence. A list of donations received to date is as follows:— :
Donations under fiVe guineas total approximately £230. .' In addition, large numbers of people are subscribing liberally by means of the collection lists that ha-ro been distributed in shops, offices, factories, warehouses, and so on. As these lists are completed and gafJnered in, the results will be announced in the press. A central office has been established in Featherston-street, opposite the General Post Office. Donations may be left at that office, or may be sent to One; hon. treasurers, Messrs. Watkins, Hull, Hunt, and Wheeler, Accountants' Cham Lv bera, Johnston-street, Wellington.
