ATHLETIC FOOTBALL SPORTS CLUB
The annual report and balance-sheet of the Athletio Football Sports Club,' to be presented at the annual meeting on Friday next, [discloses a very successful season last-year. During the season members, at open meetings, won 48 races and'seoured 35 second and 27 third places, a fine record, particularly in view of the faot that they were for the most part young athletes, being their first and second season on the traok. The club did fairly well at the provincial championship gathering, and one of its youngest members, F. Hickling, was selected to represent Wellington at the Dominion championships. The number of boy walkers in tKe club was a matter for congratulation. During the season several successful evening meetings were held, and, in conjunction with the Wellington and Victoria College Clubs, a Saturday afternoon meeting was held on the Basin Reserve. With aoredit balance of over £30, the club is in a very strong position for the coming season.
