(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CAILI ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, 6th Sept. A telegram from Philadelphia states that the Australasians are resting there on. theeve of the national singles championships. They have actively participated since their arrival in the United States in a large jmmber of strenuous exhibition a.nd official matches, as well as a long round of social -engagements. All are feeling fit. Hawke is recovering from an attack of mild ptomaine poisoning, and it is expected that he will be able to participate in the championships.
