SHORTT'S THEATRE.
The management of Shortt's Theatre is providing a special Gol'dwyn production, "The Girl from Outside," adapted from.the story, by Rex Beach. The' picture is remarkable for the many realistic scenes of life in an Alaskan town, and the.fact that the cast comprises several well-known stars. June, the ".girl from the outside," lands in the town of Nome in the gold-seeking days. She has been orphaned on the voyage to the port. Immediately on her entrance on the scene she is caught up ma destiny which involves a gang of- "crooks," and Dentpn, a gambler, who ruins 1 Nome. "The Curly Head," the leader of the gang, falls in love with her, and the conflict between the elemental forces of good and evil is intensified, by the clash between "the Curly Head" and "the; boss." The supports .include the Topical Gazette arid a good comedy. .
