"Good References," with Connie Talmadge in the lead, is the attraction. at the Strand Theatre. In this picture the star is seen as a girl who, an spite of unfortunate, and sometimes amusing circumstances, manages to elevate herself to a high position through the force of feminine "personality." From her previous state, moneyless, jobless, referencelesSj it was quite a step to her present state'of affluence, but it took some doing, and how she did it is cleverly told.
