The performance of Robert T. Haines in the^role of the parish priest, Father Coagrove, in "The Victim," now showing ait tllie Empress Theatre, is one that will long be remembered. Extraordinarily thrilling and gripping in intensity is this story of a. man's faith to his vows', facing a dishonourable death in the eloetfioal (jhiair, found guilty af murder-, when, he has only to speak to save himself. "The Victim" is'being shown by arrangement with the Catholic Ant Association, who produced it, and made an unqualified success of their job. On the same programme is a comedy featuring the wonderful monkey "Snooky," anctner episode of "The Lost City" serial, and the usual Gazette.
