SYDNEY; Bth September. ■ Alexander Smith's^ hard-ware stores in Pitt-street and David Blyth and_ Co.'s, manufacturers' agents, Kent Buildings, Kent-street, have been gut-ted by fire. Considerable damage was suffered by other tenants and adjoining premises. The ■combined damage is estimated to be in the vicinity of £40', 000.
