(Received August 26, 3 p.m.)

LONDON, 25th August.

Mr. A. H. Ashbplt, Agent-General for Tasmania (who is prominently connected with commercial aviation pro-' posals), gave air interview, in which, he pointed out that the accident had no bearing whatever on commercial airships, because R3B was designed for war'purr poses only, and therefore the lightest possible framework had been used, with a view to rising to the ( greatest possible height, which .was ona if' the chief desiderata in war time. Oa the other hand, had she been designed for commercial purposes, the chief object would have bee& iaf»tj, and therefore the framework would have been thirty or forty hundredweight heavier.
