FORESHORE AND TEAM DUPLICA.

The principal business at the Island Bay Ratepayers' Association meeting last night was the receiving of roports from subcommittees that had waited on the City Council regarding tramway matters, foreshore improvements, etc. As a result of the deputations mentioned, the secretary had received a reply from tho Town 'Clerk to the effect that the council and tramway management were giving the matter attention, and were anxious to push on the work as soon as money was available. As to foroshore improvements, the reply was to the effect that the- council was carefully considering the matter of the retention or otherwise, of the land purchased at the foreshore.
