EARLY SETTLERS

A successful "social" was held by the Early Settlers' Association at Dustin's last evening. There was a large attendance of members and friends. Mrs. Hempton, Mrs. Lewis, and Mr. Val Jones provided vocal items, which were heartily appreciated, and Mrs. Pollock presided at the piano. Mr. V. Furness officiated as M.C., and the social committee, Mrs. Vine and with her Mesdames Moore and M'Gowan were responsibls for the arrangements. At the close of the evening it was announced that future activities of the association would include a jumble sale and a sack evening, at which prizes would be given for the most useful articles manufacturer! from sacks,
