"JUDAS MACCABAEUS."

There is stated to be every indication o£ a large audience at the Town Hall on Saturday next, when the Wellington Ohoral Union will perform Handel's "Judas Maccabaeus." A fine rendering of the many beautiful solos and concerted numbers, with which the work abounds, is practically assured by the engagement of such artists as Miss Rosa Alba, of Sydney; Miss Phyllis Massey; Mr. Hubert. Carter, of Palmerston North, and Mr. Arthur Oakey. The chorus and orchestra will number in all about 300. It has been decided to set aside 200 twoshilling seats, tickets for which will be on sale at the Bristol to-morrow. The final rehearsal will take place at tlie Town Hall to-morrow, evening at 7.30. ,
