THIRD TRIAL TO BE HELD.

The second jury empanelled to consider the case of a watersider, Hendry Mearns, who is alleged to have stolen butter to the value of £5, retired, to consider its verdict) as" was reported in yesterday's Post, shortly aften 11 o'clock yesterday morning, and Had not returned at the time of going to press. At 4 o'clock, however, the jury returned and the foreman announced that there was no hope of an agreement upon a verdict. Mr. P. S. K. Macassey, Crown Prosecutor, applied for a third trial of the case. His Honour, Mr. Justice Reed granted the application, and set the case down for hearing at theyhext session nf the Court, which opens on 31sL October. . On fch.3 application of Mr. A. B.
