PARIS, 16th August.
A movement is on foot to erect a monument in front of Parliament Howe, Melbourne, to express the French admiration for the Australians' work in the war and to commemorate the Australian soldiers who fell on French soil. It is proposed that the memorial shall take the form of a colossal marble globe, surrounded by playing fountains.
