The Full Court has delivered judgment on the appeal by the Crown against the Magistrate's decision in connection with the closing of hotel bars, The Court ruled that as the Act provided for 6 o'clock closing until a referendum of the people had been taken on the question, and, as the referendum had not been taken, 6 o'clock closing must continue.
' fin a case in .which the licensee of a wine bar was prosecuted for selling liquor after 6 o'clock the Magistrate ruled that no offence had been committed, and that all publicans were empowered to keep open till 11 o'clock for the sale o£ liquor, as the .referendum provided for jn the Act had not been taken.] . ,■ .
