i _ - m Infectious and other notifiable diseases reported in the Wellington health district last week numbered 57, compared with 47 for the previous week. The details are as follow (figures for the previous week in parentheses) :—Scariet fever, 16 (15); diphtheria, 11 (6); tuberculosis, 3 . (4) ; poliomyelitis, 1 (0); puerperal septicaemia., 1 (1); pneumonia, 8 (9); varicella, 8 (5); pneumonic influenza, 5 (1); erysipelas, 2 (3); .enteric fever, 0 (3); tetanus, 1 (0); actinomyeosis, 1 (0).
