FRENCH TEXTILE STRIKE
PROTEST AGAINST REDUCTION. (BWTID PMSB ABBMIATIOB.—COPIRIMT.) (AUSTRALIAN - SIW ZEALAND C/1U ASSOCIATION.) (Received August 16, 9 a.m.) PARIS, 16th August. The textile workers at Lille, Koubaix, and Tourcoing have struck against the employers' proposal to reduce wages by forty centimes (roughly 4d) an hour, with a further reduction of ten centimes a few weeks hence. A few establishments are. still at work. There are .1600 strikers in Lille out of 1900 employees.
