ALEXANDER WATSON RECITAL
* . Three scenes from Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" were the principal items in the recital given by Mr. Alexander Watson in the Concert Chamber last night. It would be difficult to imagine Mr. Watson appearing to better advantage than in these scenes, wherein he brought to life Malvolio, Sir Toby, Maria, and the other characters of Shakespeare's comedy. It was a mas. terpicce of clever work; far above any mere recitation. Other items in the programme were Calverley's "Gemini and Virgo," "Herve Kiel," "The Farmer's Photograph," and "Mrs. B.s Alarms." Mr. Watson's recital to-night will include selections from "As You Like It," and the grave-digger scene from "Hamlet."
