Barometer—Rising. Seas—Considerable between East Cape and Ranks Peninsula, and in Cook Strait; rough sotrthward on (he west coast of the South Island; moderate elsewhere. Titles—Low in Cook Strait; poor on nil tho western coast; moderate to gooil elsewhere. Weather—Cold and changeable, with .scattered showers in tile northern, east coast, and southern districts.
