LOCAL GAMES
Teams representing the Hutt Valley and Excelsior (Masterton) hockey clubs .met on the Hutt Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon, and an interesting game resulted in a win for the Hutt eleven by two goals to one. Generally speaking, the teams were fairly evenly matched, although in the second spell the winners had matters pretty much their own way.. Clout scored for the winners, and Foster netted a good goal for Excelsior. Mr. Ginger was the referee. Results of other matches are. as follow:—' ' , | .Wesley (Wellington) 3, defeated' V.M.C.A: (Christchurch) 1. Wesley 4 (Laurenson 2, Jacobsen, and Dibley) defeated; Hutt 1 (Williams)., Ladies' Games. Petone 6, defeated Hutt 0. Training College 2, Hutt B 1.
