LONDON, 13th August. The death is announced of Charles Cooper Penrose Fitzgerald. At his own request the body was sewn in a blanket, taken to sea in a fishing-boat, and buried. --..;■•'
"[Admiral 1 Fitzgerald was born in Corkbeg, County Cork, in 1841. ' He joined; the Victory in 1854. and was in the Retribution on her voyage round the world. He was commander of the Agincourt, Asia, and Rapid, and captain of the Inconstant, Bellerophon, Inflexible, and Collingwood. He wa3 second in command on the China Station 1898-99, and was made Admiral in 1905. His publication* include "Life of Sir George Tyron," "Memories of the Sea," %ni "From Sail to Steam.'<] -;
