ASSESSMENT COURT
SITTINGS RESUMED,
The sittings of the Assessment Court were resumed at Parliament Buildings, this afternoon, when further objections to the latest valuations of city and suburban properties were heard. Mr. V. G. Day, S.M., presided, and with him sat Messrs. Ewen Campell (Government assessor), and T. B. Dwan (assessor for the City Council). Mr. F. E. ,Ward appeared for the Valuation. Department. J. M. Bertram lodged objection to the valuations placed on three sections in Rodrigo-road. The sections, he said, would be costly to fence, and he considered that on- that account the valuations were excessive J . (Proceeding).
