A POPULAR HEADMASTER
At a special meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council held on Friday, the following resolution was passed: —
"That the Eastbourne Borough Council desires to place on.record its appreciation of the services rendered to the borough by Mr. Sansoh, the retiring headmaster of the Muritai State School, who has held the position for a period of eighteen years. Amongst his' other activities Mr. Sanaon has served as a borough councillor, and has at all times associated himself prominently with the various public movements in the district. Endeared to the children of the'bays by his kindly methods, he has gained the esteem and respect of the residents throughout the neighbourhood, and both he and Mrs. Sanson carry with them in their retirement the sincere hope that they may enjoy many yoars of well-earned rest and happiness."
The copy of this resolution v to be signed by his Worship the Mayor and Town Clerk and forwarded to Mr. Sanson.
