CIVIL SERVICE SUPERANNUATION
The quarterly meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board was held at the^ board room, Wellington, this week, Mr. J. H. Eichardson, C.M.G., presiding.
Thirty-six contributors, retired under j section 35 of the Act, by reason of age or length of service, were granted allowances of a toj;al of J67273 per annum, andfour contributors, retired as medically unfit, were granted allowances totalling £332 per annum. The board refused to grant an allowance in one case, and in two cases the allowances already granted were ordered to be continued. Ten widows and twelve children were granted the statutory allowances, amounting to £336 per annum. In cpnsequenco of retirements under section 35 of the Act, accrued compensation to the, amount of £8879 became^ a liability of the Superannuation Fund and a corresponding relief to the Consolidated Fund.
