In • the Supreme Court to-day, the third trial of Charles Joseph do Lucca, on charges of stealing and receiving Btationery and fountain pens of a total value of £189, the property of Collins Bros, and Co., was concluded. It was alleged that accused was, supplied with the' goods by a fellow employee, Trevor Napier Peake, who had admitted steal-, ing them and had been sentenced. After a two hours' 'retirement the jury returned a verdict of not guilty. His Honour: "I suppose we m*v assume that you read his confession," the remark referring to a signed statem«it made to the police by de Lacca. Iho jury did not reply, «ud the aecuicd ,wu discharged:.
