PARTRIDGE CASE COSTS
SOME REMARKS BY BISHOP, DWYER. (suited rsiss association.—coftrisit.) (Received August 13, 9 a.m.) |SYDNEY, This Day. Bishop Dwyei?, in replying to a presentation'of a cheque at Temora towards the costs in the Ligouri case, said that though the verdict entitled him to costs those behind Miss Partridge would not pay them. That was another sample of British fairplay. The verdict was not so much the result of the work of .eleven lawyers as of Divine Providence acting in answer to the prayers of the people.
