ATTACK ON BRITISH SOLDIERS
/ ' (RSUTEB'S TBLBORAB.) LONDON, 11th Augurt. It is officially stated that fifteen Brit--ish soldiers on 7th August, accompanying the French District Controller, searching for hidden arms in the, Rosenberg district, Silesia, -were attacked and fired ■on by three hundred Germans. Under threat of death, the British surrendered their arms and the prisoners they had captured. , Subsequently the German plenipotentiary in Upper Silesia called on the British Commissioner and apologised on behalf of the German Govern- . ment for the unprovoked attack on troops engaged in executing a lawful duty. ■ . y ■■
