The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club'si Afagust meeting was concluded to-day in^dull and threatening weather. Rain fell during the morning and left the track somewha? soft. The totalisator. investments were £62,968, making £162,384 10s for the meeting, against £159,395 last year. Results-: — Addington Handicap, of'soo soys; two miles.—Harold Child, llsec, 1; Theseus, Bsec, 2; Whispering Willie, scr, 3. Also started: Homeleigh Dick 4sec, Marietta 7sec, Billy Parole 9sec, Effic> Bingen llsec, Navarre llsec, Marvin Junior llsec, Olivo L..l2sec, Miss Patty 114 sec,: ICoraki 14sec, Overrate Msec Won by two lengths, third >v horse a neck away. Time, 4min 47sec.
Islington Handicap, of 600 soys; two miles. — Trooper Dillon, 3sec, 1; Capriccio, 2sec, *2; Legacy 4sec, 3. Also started : Ermilrus scr, Paul Dufault 3sec, Sympathy 4sec, Vilo ssec, Royal Step ssec, Irvar ssec^ Chid 6sec, Belmont Chimes 6sec, Nellie Scott 6sec. Won by three lengths, the same distance separating second and third. Time, 4min 38 l-ssec.
