PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.
A story of gay New York life thai has a warm and true heart beating underneath is perhaps unusual, but it has been done amazingly well in Mac Mur* ray's newest Paramount Royalty picture, " The Gilded Lily," which scored a triumph at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres last night. Miss Murray has the part of Lillian Drake, a sensational ■dancer, who is tired of her inane Ufa and desires to marry and settle down. How she succeeds in achieving her wishes is material for one of the> bes* pictures shown in this city for many weeks. "Straight is the 1 Way," tha second attraction, is a delightful. picture in every respect, and features Matt Moore and Gladys Leslie.
