THE JAPANESE NAVY
REDUCTION IN ■PERSONNEL.
(REUTERS TELEGRAM.) TOKIO, 10th August.
The Navy Department announces that the ; personnel will be reduced 20, per cent, on Ist September, consequent on four battleships and twelve cruisers being transferred from the active list to coast defence. This is in pursuance of a decision to reduce naval expenditure.
