It has now been decided that the Canadian Spinner, from New York, will call at Australian ports bofore coming to New Zealand. She is due. at Auckland on the 15th September, and at Wellington a week later, and will afterwards proceed to Lyttelton to complete discharge.

The ketch Huanul, which, it will be remembered, stranded on Wnikanae beach, Gisborne, on the 14th May, was towed into Auckland last Wednesday in a .leaky condition. The vessel was on her way from Whangarei with a cargo of cement, when it was discovered that she was making water, and, with the assistance of a tug, -was taken in tow from Tiritiri, and brought safely In to port. She was making a fair amodnt of water at the time, which, however, was kept in check by the pumps on deck. ■ .
