SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The round of pleasure arranged for his seafaring gaesti by Mr. E. W. Brfrd at the Sailors' Friend Society on Thursday, called forth much applause from the men. The performers wte Mrs. E. W. Burd. the Misses Recce, AVing, Hildreth, and Messrs. Burd, Jenness, Gordon, Smith, Williams, Murray, Reed, and Master Burd. Mrs. E. W. Burd and Miss Jenness were at the piano. The missioner would be grateful for discarded reading matter. Prizes for the competition were donated by the Misses Rouse, Martin, and Hyams, and went to the Durham, Amokura, and men in port.
