SUPREME COURT
A SERIOUS CHARGE.
Thomas William . Steel, a pictiiwframer at Berhamppre, was charged at the Supreme Court this morning, before his Honour Mr. Justice Reed and a jury of twelve, of which Mr. E. G. Benjamin was foreman, with having indecently assaulted a little girl, ten years of age. It was alleged that the accused interfered with the little girl when she called at his shop. The Court was cleared dur ing the hearing of evidence. Mr. F. S. K. 'Macassey appeared for the Crown, and Mr. A. B. Sievwright for the defence. (Proceeding.)
