BANKRUPTCY MEETING
Creditor* in the estate of Herbert Julius Mailer, jeweller's manufacturer, met in the office of the, Official Assignee (Mr. S. Tansley) this morning. 'Mr. Tansley explained ' that Mailer was at present serving a sentence for theft, and that the Controller-General of Prisons had eaid it was inadvisable to allow him to attend the meeting. It was ajso explained that the jewellerjr mentioned in bankrupt's statement was in the hands of the police' in connection with the recent prosecution, the question of ownership. having yet to be argued in Court. Bankrupt's statement showed assets £342 9s 6d, liabilities £264 18s. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
