SHORTT'S THEATRE.

Dorothy Phillips ie appearing in "Once to Every Woman," at Shortt's Theatre. Associated with her are Randolph Valentine, Robert Anderson, Elinor Field, and others, in a poignant drama of the country and the stage. Viola Dana is aJtao on the bill 'in "Puppets of Fate." An entertainment •will take place at St. "Mark's Schoolroom to-night in aid of St. Barnabas Church. Funds, Rosenieath. Songs by leading singers, songs and choruses by children, dances by several young ladies, recitations, aid piano selectionr are included on the programme. The seating accommodation of the Eastbourne Hall was taxed to its utmost on Wednesday evening, when an entertainment, organised by Mr. 0. A. Marquis, in add' of the St. Albans Young Men's Club, was held. The thanks of the club aire ctue to the artiste who so kindly crossed the harbour to assist, and to the D.'I.C. for stag© decorations. The programme presented was of a very high standard, and each item received an encore. Those who contiibuted were: Misses Mairjorie Buokridge, Eva Sapsford, and V. Minifie; Messrs. .H. F. Wood), Albert Russell, A. Mayes, Reg. Oakley, Alf. Spencer, 0. A. M. Jones, Jack RidJer,', and George Olapham. Mrs. M'Donald and Messrs. G. 0. Smith, andi Reg. Oakley acted as accompanists.
