The Esperanto Conference is attended by 2700 men and women delegates from forty nationalities, including official representatives from Belgium, Spain,' Italy, the Netherlands, Saxony, Ukraine, and Jugo-Slavia. DivNitobe, the League of Nations representative, said that no international subject was more important than international language. The abolition of war was their chief objective. He anticipated a period when the peacemakers of all nations would find a common language. / German Esperantists, / particularly, warmly welcomed the Britishers, gather.■ing at the stations arid cheering them %i route.
