Seas—Heavy northward of Cape Egmont »nd in Foveaux Strait; rough between Castlepoint and Kaikoura; moderate elsewhere. Tides—Poor northward of East Cape; good elsewhere. Warning signals for westerly gales are exhibited at Castlepoint, Cape Campbell, Stephen i Island, Farewell Spit, Cape Foulwind, and Jfugget Point. Weather—Changeable and showery in the west coast districts of the North Island; overcast, and rain probable, in the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island; unsettled and cloudy at times elsewhere.
