The case in which, a native named Matiu was. sentenced to; death for the murder of ■ a policeman at Niue Island came upsfor review before; a sitting of the Executive Council held this morning. Subsequently Sir Francis Bell, ActingPrime Minister, announced that the death- sentence had' been", commuted to imprisonment for life. !
