SHORTHORN BREEDERS

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the annual meeting at the New Zealand Shorthorn Cattlo Breeders' Association, the name was changed to "Shorthorn Society, of New Zealand." Officials elected were as follow: —President, Mr. R. E. Alexander (Lincoln), vice-president, Mr. A. Hunter (Hawera), council, Messrs. W. G. Park (To Awamutu), G. Stoddart (Lincoln), R. Millar (Whangarei), and J. A. Johnstone (Dunedin). An award of 14 shields for champion bulls during the coming season, were allotted to the following shows : -Hamilton Mnnawat'u, Carterton, Gisborne, Whangarei, Napier, Wanganui, Christchurch, Ellosmere-, Dunedin, Invorcargil), Timaru, Ashburton, and Gore.
