NEW ZEALAND HEMP
There has, been an improvement in the London market for New Zealand fibre. Producers are actively interested. Milling is proceeding in the Manawatu district, so fur as flooded lands \vill permit; The High Commissioner, reporting London, 6th August, states that the Manila market is steady at previous quotations. "J" grade July-September shipment is quoted at £38 10s per ton, and sales have been made at this price for August-October shipment!!. . New Zealand market more active, and fair business has been done at following prices:—High-point, AugustOctober shipment, £35 10s; fair, JulySoptember and August-Octobor shipments, £34 and £35 per ton. :
