SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
There were evidences of special preparation- in Mrs. Frederick Rosenthal's programme tendered to seafarers at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. The hostess was rewarded with stirring cheers. The performers were: Mrs. F. Rosenthal, the Misses' Perry, Piper, Maxwell, Arnold, Worboys, Groves, Bleye, and Messrs. Murray, Inson, Booch, Gordon, and Smith. Miss Worboys was at the piano. "Put that in your hat" was the title of Mr. Moore's chat on temperance. Thought led to pledges. A series of competitions was held, prizes coming from Mrs. Westdn and Miss Dalgiesh, and going to the Durham, Aniokura, and Somerset.
